How to Recharge the NOL Card?

There are five different methods for NOL recharge. These include both online and physical ways. Below, I have provided a detailed guide on how to top up an NOL card. 

NOL Card Recharge Online

You can use the RTA official portal for card recharge online. For this purpose, visit the portal, enter your NOL tag ID, email ID, and recharge amount. You can also check NOL card recharge history via portal. Below is the complete breakdown of it.

  1. First of all, visit the RTA Portal recharge page.

  2. Enter your recharge amount and payment details.

  4. Once done, the balance will be added to your card. Check your NOL card balance for confirmation. 

Recharge Balance Via App

NOL recharge is also available via the NOL pay app. Here is the complete breakdown for Dubai NOL top-up via app. 

  1. First of all, download the NOL Pay app on your device and sign up for your account. 
  2. You will get the “Top up” option on the homepage of the app. Click on that button.

  1. If you have a physical Nol Card, hold it against the back of your phone where the NFC chip is. However, skip this step if you’re using a virtual Card.

You can also use the other banking app, such as the S’hail app, for NOL Top up. However, always use the official app and avoid unofficial applications to avoid errors. 

Recharge Via Mehboub Chatbot

The RTA website also offers the chatbot recharge option. Just provide your card details, payment info, and recharge amount. The bot will automatically add balance to your NOL card. 

However, below I have provided the step-by-step details for it:

  1. Vist the RTA Mehboub chatbot option available on the RTA official portal. 
  2. In the chat, type “Top Up Nol Card” and click on “Apply Now.”
  3. Enter your Nol Tag ID and Email ID.
  4. Choose a recharge amount between AED 30 and AED 150.
  5. Select “Pay using DubaiPay” and complete the payment.
  6. After payment, activate your top-up by using your Nol Card at metro stations, parking facilities, or solar-powered machines at selected bus stops.

Nol Recharge via Vending and Solar Machines

The NOL card TOP Up option is available via Wedning and Solar Machines. To recharge via machine, insert your card and follow the screen guide. Here is the step-by-step guide about it: 

  1. Go to a ticket vending machine at a metro station or a solar top-up machine at a select bus stop.
  2. Insert your Nol Card into the card reader on the machine.
  3. Choose the “Top Up” option on the screen of the machine.
  4. Select your recharge amount(minimum AED 20).
  5. For vending machines, pay via cash or card, and for solar machines, pay with cash only.
  6. Wait for the machine to process your payment and update your card balance.
  7. Remove your Nol Card once the transaction is complete.
  8. Your balance will be activated once you tap your card at any metro gate, bus entry, or solar-powered machine.

Recharge at Retail Stores

You can recharge your RTA NOL card at the retailer store. For a top-up, visit the nearest store and request an NOL balance recharge. Below is the detailed tutorial about it:

  1. Vist your nearest RTA retailer store and ask the attendant for a recharge. 
  2. You will be asked to provide some important details. Provide all the required details.
  3. Now the attendant guides you through the process. Follow the instructions FOR NOL recharge.

NOL Recharge Limitations

The NOL top-up amount depends on whether the NOL card is registered or unregistered. For anonymous cards, the limit is AED 1,000. For registered or personalized cards, you can add up to AED 5,000. But when topping up online, the maximum is AED 150 for all types of NOL cards. However, you can enjoy discounts if you have student NOL card.
